- Financial Controller
Financial Controller
Overall Purpose of the Position – the position holder has oversight for business monitoring and performance management; financial accounting and reporting;
Responsibilities
– Assist in articulating a clear strategy for statutory financial and management reporting; oversee preparation, consolidation and rendition of Group management accounts on a periodic basis; initiate, design and communicate an efficient financial modeling tool for the budgetary process to aid planning and forecasting; perform cross operating company analyses against pre defined key performance indicators to identify key revenue projection drivers; design financial models and forecasts to support acquisitions, share swaps and divestment decisions; develop and implement the Group reporting model to meet GAAP standards and rendition of quarterly financial performance of the Group in local (SAS) and IFRS formats.
Position and Person Specifications
– A good University degree (minimum 2.2) with an ACA or equivalent qualification from an internationally recognized accounting body.
- Possession of a good Msc/MBA degree will be an added advantage.
- 8 – 13 years of relevant work experience 5 of which must have been at a middle to senior management level.
- This position requires an individual with exceptional analytical and managerial skills.

1. Business Manager – Major Projects (Lagos)
Overall Purpose of Job:
Responsible for collating, tracking, monitoring and reporting intelligence on all major projects in the upstream sector of the industry and for developing a strategy of including the company on relevant Approved Vendors’ List of all identified and viable projects
Responsibilities:
• Carry out necessary research/intelligence gathering, reports, tenders and presentations that will ultimately win the company’s contracts in ongoing/upcoming projects.
• Support the Business Development Team activities and new business development prospects
• Identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities in E & P companies, based on intelligence collated.
• Update the major projects database regularly and circulate to appropriate persons. Identify immediate and long term clients’ needs for the company’s products and services on such projects
• Plan and arrange meetings between E & P companies and visiting partners.
• Monitor company performance against defined key performance indices/metrics.
• Develop technical and commercial knowledge of all product offerings and services

Overall Purpose of Job:
To provide bid administrative support and provide customer assistance on bid-related transactions.
Responsibilities:
•Receive and process Requests for Quotation (RFQ)
•Obtain quotes from suppliers, prepare and submit quotations to clients
•Follow up on all submitted RFQs
•Receive and process Purchase Orders (PO)
•Work within established supply chain procedures for requisition
processing, validation, payment, delivery and invoicing
•Liaise with field staff and clients to generate RFQs
•Maintain comprehensive filing system

An Airfreight & Sea freight Company is looking for a Chief Accountant to support its operations in Nigeria.

Job description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
To control and manage the day-to-day accounts transactions
To prepare monthly Management Accounts
To supervise the Accounts clerks and cashiers
He will report to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities
Control the treasury, the bank movements and their reconciliation with bank statements.
Control the correct coding of accounts vouchers, their posting and filing.
Control timely payment of creditor’s invoices.
Control the cash movements
Receivables: maintains individual ledgers, allocates payments to invoices, send dunning letters, maintains WHT recoverable ledger
Taxes: prepares monthly VAT returns, WHT remittance
Payroll: monthly payments, follow up of loans / advances / leave allowances / pension funds
Monthly closing: prepares P/L and B/S
Look after the Companies interests regarding Nigerian authorities and external auditors.
Reconcile accounts with debtors, creditors and Group companies.
Produce monthly Management Accounts
Monitor changes in legislation and publications regarding accountancy and financial matters.
Assist in the preparation of standardized accounting procedures in the Company.
Deputise for the Finance & Administration Manager when he is not available.

Qualifications and Experience
An advanced certificate in accountancy recognized in Nigeria, preferably “Chartered Accountant” with working experience in the logistics sector.
Good Health status. Demonstrate the energy level, authority, professionalism and honesty required of a fully committed and effective Chief Accountant in Nigeria.
Min 5-10 years experience in a similar position
Interested in long-term employment.
Stable and progressive career – no job hoppers.
Must possess demonstrable and measurable success in a similar management role in a large or medium sized logistics company within Nigeria.
Strong accounting ability must be proven including profound knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, foreign exchange regulations and labour laws (logistics sector).

Job description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

To interface with Company’s Management, Site Managements and Nigeria Authorities
